Bracknell Town Tigers
1 v 2 Curley Park Broncos
On an icy cold morning the Broncos got out of
jail with two goals in the last 10 mins as the Tigers failed
to hold onto a share of the points.
Having fallen behind after only 2 mins to a well taken goal,
the Broncos struggled to find the form they had produced all
season against the Tigers who were resolute at the back and
dangerous on the break. The Tigers nearly doubled their lead
on 15 mins when only some last ditch defending by the Broncos
managed to clear their lines.
Although they did have their chances in the first half the
Broncos couldn’t get back on level terms due to some
woeful shooting, strong defending and good goal keeping.
With the Broncos trailing at half time the scene was set for
a dramatic second half. Although the Broncos were beginning
to enjoy a bit more possession they still couldn’t break
down the Tigers. With time ticking away a half clearance by
the Tigers fell to Ciaron who made no mistake in controlling
and slotting the ball past the keeper for the equalizer. This
lifted the Broncos but the Tigers weren’t to be out
done and were battling for everything and also pushing men
forward looking for the winner themselves. However with 3
mins left on the clock the Broncos pushed forward again only
to be halted by more solid defending from which the ball again
fell out to Ciaron on the left hand side of the penalty area
who in spectacular fashion controlled the ball and unleashed
an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner.
The full time whistle blew on what was a fairly
lack luster performance by the Broncos of which full credit
must be given to the Tigers for their overall performance
from which they must still be wondering how they didn’t
get at least a point.
Have a good Christmas lads !
