Chiefs match report -
Saturday 12th November 2005
CPR Chiefs 5 vs Ascot
Aces 2
While our Coach was away on an intensive football coaching
course with Sven, our training team of Andy & Craig took
on team management for this all important local derby.
From the start Ascot were playing well and putting
our defence and goalie under a lot of pressure. We have a
couple of breaks from this constant pressure, one with Sam
H having a great solo run, but resulted in Ascot breaking,
while our mid-field looked, on resulted in Ascot’s 1st
goal (1-0). The Chiefs soon responded with a great pass from
Jamie to Sam H who found the goal (1-1) and another great
cross from Jack M who found Sam W but whose shot went wide.
What a close game this was looking to be.
In the 2nd half, the Chiefs started much stronger
and put the Ascot under constant pressure. Sam H passed the
ball to Drew who managed to sneak the ball under the body
of the goalie (1-2) – Drew entertained the crowd with
a double back flip! Sam H helped move the team on further
ahead with the easiest of tap in’s from Sam W shoot
(1-3). Sam H emanated Drew’s celebration with a forward
roll!
Nick kept us in the game with some great saves
on a very difficult wet & slippery surface, but Ascot
managed to catch out our mid-field looking for further goals,
and scored (2-3). On a solo run Drew score another (2-4) and,
not to be out done, Sam W finished the game with another (2-5).
What a great result for the Chiefs!
